Kjarstad 4-star Orkney Self Catering, Kirkwall, Orkney - garden Please add £50 key deposit to the above prices – this will be refunded in full at the end of your stay when keys are returned. The price quoted is fully inclusive of all bedlinen, towels, gas, electricity and cleaning.

When booking 2 or more consecutive weeks, we are pleased to offer a 5% discount on the overall price (please note this applies only to bookings made directly with the owner via email or telephone)

 

FAQ

Is Kjarstad available for short breaks?
Yes, Kjarstad is available for short breaks apart from the peak months of June, July and August.   We are open all year round and the minimum booking accepted is for 3 nights.
Sorry, but we don’t offer accommodation over the Christmas/New Year period.

What days may we check in?
During June, July and August, the arrival day is a Saturday.  However at other times we are completely flexible to your requirements – please contact us.

The normal check in time is 3pm and we ask that guests vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure. 

Are there facilities for children?
Yes, there is a high chair and travel cot (please bring own bedding).  There is also a large private garden.  A playpark and large open green space are   just two minutes walk from the front door, and the local swimming pool and tennis courts are also a five minute walk.

Is Kjarstad suitable for people with disabilities/mobility issues?
There are 3 steps at both the front and rear entrances.  Internally, all rooms are on one level, apart from the conservatory   which has one step.  There is a walk-in shower.  We regret that it is not wheelchair friendly.

Are there private parking facilities?
Yes, there is space for up to 3 cars on the private driveway.

Is there a bus stop nearby?
Yes,   a  bus into the town centre is within a few minutes walk of Kjarstad, accessible Lambaness  -  a  footpath at the bottom of the road leads to Lambaness.

How far is it from the town centre?
A pleasant 10-15 minute walk will lead you to the heart of the town centre and all it’s amenities

May we bring pets?
Sorry, but we are unable to accept pets
